Forgotten Hope Set Up Page

Since you are here, I assume you want to play Forgotten Hope (FH), the greatest World War II mod out there for Battlefield 1942. This mod is what the original Battlefield 1942 should have been. If you like WWII, you will love playing this game. FYI - After installing Forgotten Hope, you WILL still be able to play regular BF1942. You have nothing to lose by trying it out.

Battlefield 1942 Patches
To play Forgotten Hope, you will need Battlefield 1942. You should have it patched up to 1.61. If not, download the patches here:
BF1942 Patch 1
BF1942 Patch 2

Note: If you are playing BF1942 online, you are probably all set and don't need these two patches.

Forgotten Hope Files
Forgotten Hope consists of three large files. You will need to download, and then install all three for the mod to work correctly.

STOP HERE! The above files are all you need to begin playing to see if you like it.
If you do, then I would recommend that you download more maps. See below.

Forgotten Hope MapPacks

Great! Now you have the game and can play online with most maps. Most maps? Yes, most maps. The most popular FH servers also play with mappacks created by their communities. These mappacks are worth your time to download and install for two reasons. A) you won't get kicked from a server with a "Map not found" message, and B) there are some very good maps in these mappacks that you will enjoy.

Forgotten Hope MapPack
Fan Mappack 6 (These two are the only "Fan" Mappacks that I have installed and I have been fine so far. In other words, you don't need 1-5).

Pixel-Fighter Maps
Mappack 1 (scroll down and look for "Mappack 1" on this page and do the same thing for the rest of these files).
Mappack 1 Add-On
Mappack 2
Mappack 2 Add-On
Mappack 3
Mappack 3 Add-On

Install these mappacks in the above order and you should be fine.

The Damned Priests Maps
Mappacks 1-7 (in one file) [The site is in German. Just check off the box and click on "Download." The file itself is in English].
Mappack 8 [Again, check off the box and download the file].

Install these in order too.
